Chief Travis Nokes and his wife Laura

About Us

Rehab 113 Support Co., or “Rehab 113” for short, is the vision of Chief Nokes, who has seen the difference rehab units made for the firefighters while employed at Highland Village prior to becoming Chief of Bridgeport Fire Department. Chief Nokes is a generous leader and his immediate goal is for Rehab 113 to be shared with Wise County first responders and even beyond to the North Central Texas region.

Rehab 113 Support Co. is serious about their work but love to laugh. If you relate, consider becoming a Rehab 113 member, too.

Leadership

Wendy Fowler and Ashlyn Oney are not new to the fire service. Wendy’s husband (who is also Ashlyn’s dad) was a volunteer firefighter in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when rehab didn’t exist except to walk to the back of the truck, vomit, down some Gatorade and get back to the fire. Ashlyn’s husband Dusty, has spent many years on two different volunteer departments.

Ashlyn is obtaining her Emergency Management degree from West Texas A&M and together, Wendy and Ashlyn are the founders of Rehab 113 Support Co., along with Wendy’s youngest daughter, Audrey. Wendy earned a BS in Family Studies from TWU and has an extensive background in non-profit management as well as medical training.

Volunteers are the backbone of the support Rehab 113 is able to provide. Our volunteers are of all ages and walks of life. They are trained to understand incident command framework, vital sign assessment, and proper Gatorade dilution techniques.
