Want to help a firefighter?

Here’s how you can:

On Scene Support

Rehab 113 Support Co. volunteers go on scene to offer aid including hydration, nourishment, cooling/warming station, vitals monitoring, rest and first aid to first responders during long calls or in extreme conditions.

Give

Your donation helps Rehab 113 Support Co. restock supplies, buy gear to help warm/cool our first responders, and get the word out to the community that we are here and ready to help. Rehab 113 Support Co. is currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)3 status.

Event Support

Attend fairs, festivals, and community events to promote Rehab 113 Support Co., raise funds, and connect the community to its firefighters.

Not Your Mother’s Auxillary

Rehab units are more than bake sales and ice chests full of Gatorade, although those are important. Rehab units work to ensure first responders’ safety on the scene when fires get long or conditions deteriorate and affect their work and wellbeing.

Building community awareness and raising funds to support our efforts are also part of our mission and we need help for all of it.

Requirements

The Rehab 113 Support Co. on-scene volunteers must be able to assist in hot/cold conditions, help carry supplies, take vitals (we’ll teach you!), and be a friendly face to our first responders. Teens ages 15-16 can serve alongside trained parents and 17 year olds are paired with a Rehab 113 adult volunteer after training is complete.

If your agency needs to fulfill the rehab requirements of NFPA 1584, we can help. Rehab 113 was born out of Bridgeport Fire Department but is available to serve the area, including neighboring counties, police and other emergency responders. Reach out to learn more about working with our team.
